Durham Brewery’s 30th Anniversary Beer Festival

Durham’s oldest working brewery celebrates thirty years of brewing on Saturday 27th July. Cask beers, keg beers and bottle conditioned beers from our diverse portfolio of traditional to up-to-the minute craft. There’ll be local street food from Piggy Blinders and live music throughout the day.

Celebratory Brew – Sumerian
A special beer has been brewed based on Steve’s interpretation of the Hymn to Ninkasi. This is a commercial version of the first beer in his book “The Descent of Beer”. Still in the writing, Sumerian and other elements can be found at tdo-beer.com. So different from anything you’ve tasted before, this reverse innovation exploits the qualities of spices rather than hops.

Old and New Beers
Our first beer Celtic is making a comeback. The first win (out of many) at the Durham CAMRA Beer Festival weeks after being born.

Piña Colada is a Milkshake IPA with coconut and pineapple flavours.
Nectaron IPA is a big hazy juice bomb of an IPA with a new hop from New Zealand.
Dunkel, a continental dark lager.

The Complete Portfolio with tasting notes is available on the website www.durhambrewery.com
