Aldi’s ‘Magic’ Caramel Biscuit Ale fans say it ‘has no right being so good’

Shoppers have been going mad for Aldi’s ‘magic’ Caramel Biscuit Ale a year after its launch, and they are impressed. Causing a flurry of posts on social media, one Reddit user said the ale ‘has no right being so good’ and another X user said, ‘Aldi have used arcane magic to create a sacred liquid. It’s decent beer, but they’ve replaced the aftertaste with Biscoff! Colour me impressed… and intimidated’.’ The post quickly received hundreds of likes and comments, with one person saying that they were starting their car to go grab some whilst they can!

Ben Cluroe, a firefighter from Birmingham who beat hundreds of hopeful applicants to be named Aldi’s Official Beer Taster last September, named the Caramel Biscuit Ale as his favourite Aldi beer – describing the ale as ‘golden in colour, and abundant with burnt toffee and caramelised biscuit aromas that translate to a long-lasting finish of sweet creamy rich caramel.’

Aldi’s Caramel Biscuit Ale (£1.49, 500ml) is available in stores now and through click and collect.
