Take a Look Inside New Nuneaton Pub Following £286,000 Makeover

The Hare & Hounds in Nuneaton re-opened last Thursday 18th April following a major investment of £286,000.

The pub is part of the Proper Pubs – the award-winning community operator division of Admiral Taverns – and has undergone a complete transformation to elevate the overall look and feel and foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Inside the pub features brand new furniture, fixtures, fittings and flooring and two separate trading areas to ensure it caters to all tastes. One half is a cosy lounge for intimate gatherings with family and friends and to the other half is a sports room to the rear of the pub complete with a darts board and pool table.

Outside, the pub boasts new lighting and signage to greet customers as well as a spacious garden that hosts benches and festoon lighting to enjoy during the summer months.

For opening night, customers got to enjoy a complimentary prosecco reception and a live performance from local duo, 2 Mag.

Operator of The Hare & Hounds, Sarah Jane, said: “Opening night went brilliantly –  it was fantastic to welcome all our customers in and showcase everything that the pub has to offer!

The feedback we’ve received from our community has been amazing and we can’t wait to see everyone again soon!”

The Hare & Hounds offers a wide range of drinks including premium draught beers, ciders, cask ales, an extensive cocktail menu, a selection of coffee and hot drinks and runs special promotions throughout the week. In addition, the pub hosts a menu of sweet and savoury bar snacks such as pretzels, popcorn and sweet treats to nibble on whilst enjoying time with friends and family.

The pub also runs a busy schedule of entertainment, including live music evenings every weekend, weekly quizzes and games nights, monthly open mic nights and regular cask ale evenings where customers can purchase a pint for £3.

Going forward the operator looks forward to introducing various fundraising initiatives to support several causes close to her heart including collecting food for local foodbank and raising money to have a lifesaving defibrillator installed.

Matthew Gurney, Operations Director for Proper Pubs, said: “The refurbishment at The Hare & Hounds looks incredible and it’s evident how hard Sarah and the team have worked to ensure it will be a great success for the local community.

On behalf of the Proper Pubs team, we would like to wish our community hero, Sarah, the very best of luck for the future in making The Hare & Hounds a vibrant social hub for local residents.”
