Master brewer, previously Head Brewer at Boddingtons and Stella Artois Brewmaster. Currently freelance consulting through Beer Dimensions. Regular contributing feature writer in Brewer & Distiller International, and other journals, mostly on technical aspects of the industry.
Interests include : Beer recipe/process development and optimisation, quality improvement, franchise and contract brewing, also a keen interest in beer tasting and is a regular judge at the World Beer Cup, as well as judging at the BIIA ( Brewing Industry International Awards) and GABF (Great American Beer Festival). One of only a handful of British brewers to have studied at the German brewing school at Munich-Weihenstephan. Is also a FIBD ( Fellow of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling).
