James is a beer geek, bartender and aspiring journalist currently in his final year at The University of Exeter. He works at Fuggles Beer Cafe in Tunbridge Wells during the university holidays and is heavily involved with the University Real Ale Society, as well as being an active member of CAMRA. He has written articles on beer for The Independent and The HuffingtonPost, and in December 2015 founded his own beer blog ‘Beeson on beer’. He likes to brew in his spare time, and in November 2015 won The University of Exeter Real Ale Society Homebrew competition with a 6% Black IPA.
James regularly attends and volunteers at beer festivals around the country, and has visited breweries and brewpubs in Exeter, Bristol, London, Sheffield, Hamburg, Prague and Bruges. His favourite styles are IPA’s and Lambics.
