Author of The Beer & Food Companion, co-author of The World Atlas of Beer – second edition published in fall, 2016 – and multiple editions of The Pocket Beer Book (both with fellow Guild member Tim Webb), as well as author of numerous other books, Stephen Beaumont has been covering beer internationally for over a quarter century from his base in Toronto, Canada. He contributes regularly to a number of publications, including the US-based magazines Whisky Advocate and the Celebrator, U.K. outlets just-drinks.com and Brewing & Beverage Industries Business, and the Canadian magazines Food & Drink and Taps. He travels widely, not only researching new developments on the global beer front, but also hosting beer dinners and tastings, judging in international competitions and speaking to audiences from two dozen to two thousand. He has also been known to pontificate on the merits of various whiskies, whiskeys and other spirits, and is a member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers.
