Paul Bailey is a Kent-based beer enthusiast. He has been an active member of CAMRA since the mid 1970’s, and during this time has both edited, and written copy for a number of local CAMRA branch magazines. He has been writing his own beer blog, Paul Bailey’s Beer Blog, since 2008, and has also published two guides to Kent pubs. For six years Paul and his wife ran a successful real-ale off-licence, based in Tonbridge, which as well as selling cask ale to take away by the pint, offered one of the best selections of bottled beers in the south east. In a previous existence Paul was a keen home-brewer, producing a wide range of full-mash beers. He plans to get back into brewing, when he stops getting distracted by other projects. Paul’s main interests are brewery history, cellarmanship, German beers, especially those of the Franconia and travelling in pursuit of good beer and good places in which to drink it.
